Welcome to TASTE.
Myself (Joey Rubin) and my boy Elliot Heller (aka. DJ Equal) started TASTE as a party with a few of our DJ buddies in downtown New York City when we were 21.
Over the next few years we got serious about events and did product launches, music festivals, baby showers, you name it. We got to work with a bunch of awesome people like Summit Series, charity: water, Sirius Satellite Radio, Cornerstone Promotion / The FADER Magazine, Pernod Ricard and many more. We also got to book some of the best emerging and established music artists in the world.
Elliot is currently working and traveling as a professional DJ, just placed 2nd in the Red Bull Thre3Style DJ battle in NYC, and plays drums in a band called Samuel.
I’m a partner and the marketing director of Dante Fried Chicken, a food and lifestyle brand with an award-winning food truck in Los Angeles. I’m also working on a tech startup, I work with SocialPeople.tv on digital marketing and strategy, and recently built a documentary project about Summit Series aboard Summit at Sea.
